Dr. Fred Raffa is the Senior Economist in the consulting firm Raffa Consulting Economists, Inc.
Upon finishing his Ph.D. in Economics from Florida State University in 1969, Fred and his wife, Jeanie, moved to the Winter Park area as he began an academic teaching career at the University of Central Florida where he chaired the Department of Economics from 1976-1980.
He retired from UCF in 1998 as a tenured full professor and formed Raffa Consulting Economists, a firm specializing in forensic economics.
He is the author of Evaluation and Proof of Economic Loss, a three volume series published as part of the LexisNexis Damages in Tort Action Series.
Fred serves on the Board of Trustees for the Atlantic Center for the Arts and the Himalayan Youth Foundation.
Fred and Jeanie are the parents of a daughter, Julie Lamar (husband Tom) and son, Matt Raffa (wife Robyn) who together have blessed them with five grandchildren, all of whom reside nearby.
